SPIRITUALITY IN THE WORKPLACE

Build a Culture Where People Bring Their Best — Not Just Their Skills.

Your people don't leave their humanity at the door when they come to work. Their sense of purpose, their need for connection, their desire to feel like what they do matters — it all comes with them.

The organizations that acknowledge this outperform the ones that don't.

Spirituality in the Workplace is a facilitated workshop that helps teams and leaders build a culture of mindfulness, mutual respect, and intentional well-being — regardless of religious background or belief.

Betsy Richard facilitating a virtual workshop on Spirituality in the Workplace.

WHAT THIS WORKSHOP IS

This is not a religious workshop. It's not tied to any faith tradition, denomination, or belief system.

It's for any organization — regardless of background — that wants to create a workplace where people feel seen, valued, and connected to something bigger than their job description.

What we explore:

  • What it means to bring your whole self to work — and why it directly affects performance and retention

  • Mindfulness practices that reduce stress and sharpen focus without adding to anyone's workload

  • How to build a culture of presence, mutual respect, and psychological safety

  • Work/life integration — what it looks like in practice and how leaders model it

  • How your organization's core values become something people actually feel — not just words on a wall

Format: One-hour sessions, available in-person or virtually. For organizations that want to go deeper, multi-session programs are available and tailored to your team's specific needs.

WHO THIS IS FOR

This workshop is a fit for organizations where:

  • Leaders see their core values and mission as inseparable from how their people work together

  • Burnout, disengagement, or high turnover is signaling something deeper than a process problem

  • The culture is functional but something feels missing — connection, energy, sense of purpose

  • Leadership wants to model the kind of workplace they're building, not just describe it

  • You believe your people are your greatest asset and want to invest in them accordingly

Many business owners hire me for consulting or coaching and then bring me in to lead this workshop for their team. They've done the personal work. They want their people to experience it too.

WHY BETSY LEADS THIS WORK

I'm a Certified Spiritual Director — a formal credential that trained me to create space for the kind of reflective, honest conversation most workplaces never make room for.

That training taught me how to listen deeply, ask the questions people aren't asking themselves, and help individuals and teams reconnect with what matters most to them. It has nothing to do with imposing beliefs and everything to do with creating conditions where people can do their best thinking.

I've been invited to lead this workshop by business owners across Louisiana who first hired me for consulting or team alignment work. Again and again, the same thing happened: the deeper conversation about purpose and meaning surfaced on its own.

People want their work to mean something. Leaders who create space for that conversation build teams that stay — and perform.
