According to Gino Wickman in his book Traction, a core value is “a small set of vital and timeless guiding principles for your company” (pg. 35). I have found that when working with small businesses, many owners know what their core values are, yet have not spoken them out to their teams who have no idea what core values are. It is important to set aside time to work ON your business and decide what your Core Values ARE.
